This 5.5-mile trail takes walkers around the Ladybower Reservoir offering stunning views of the Y-shaped reservoir located in the Upper Derwent Valley. Set in the heart of the Peak District, this is a must-do walk in Derbyshire for amazing views of the magnificent reservoirs.

#3 - Heights of Abraham Cable Car

takes visitors to the hilltop of the Heights of Abraham. The hilltop is also accessible via a walking trail. At the top visitors can access the two famous caverns, dine at the restaurant or café with amazing views, and explore the estate where there are trail walks, a playground, Victorian tower and museum. The attraction is also dog-friendly.

#4 - Mam Tor

This National Trust property is a circular walking trail starting from the car park leading to the top of mam Tor. It offers walkers dramatic views over the Edale Valley and the Derwent Moors. The 3-mile walk is moderate and will take around 2 hours. You have to see the views from this area for yourself. Absolutely stunning!

#5 - Peak Rail

Enjoy a magical ride on a steam train through the heart of the Peak District. Guests can book normal scenic journeys as well as luxury dining including Christmas dinner, afternoon tea and cream tea. This is a fun experience for the whole family and any train enthusiast at any time of the year.

#6 - Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Country Park

is a lovely day out for the whole family. The Buxton Country Park is a woodland park that offers panoramic hilltop views of the Peak District. The Poole’s Cavern is a magnificent limestone cavern that is over 2 million years old. Enjoy a guided tour of the cavern and learn more about one of the best show caverns in the UK.
